The aim of the present study was to determine the relationship between parental perfectionism, academic burnout, and resilience in second-grade elementary school students. The statistical population of this study consisted of all second-grade elementary school students in District 3 of Qom city during the 2022-2023 academic year, totaling 7,153 individuals. Using Morgan's sample size table, 360 participants were selected through multi-stage cluster sampling. This research was descriptive and correlational in nature. For data collection, the Short Perfectionism Questionnaire (SPQ), the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), and the Academic Burnout Questionnaire (ABQB) were utilized. Multiple regression analysis indicated a significant relationship between parental perfectionism and both academic burnout and resilience in students. Additionally, a relationship was found between resilience and academic burnout. The findings can enhance our understanding of how parental perfectionism affects students' academic and psychological well-being, and may be useful in developing intervention and educational programs aimed at reducing burnout and boosting students' resilience.
